Most dog owners love and cherish their dogs like best friends, and for that reason, the vast majority of people want to make sure that their dog is as comfortable as possible. Dogs love to sleep, even during the day, and a good dog bed is vital for your dog’s health and well-being.
Although you may think that dogs are active animals, they will sleep for up to 16 hours a day. This, of course, depends on their age, temperature during a particular time of year, what breed the dog is, and how active you keep your dog. If you have a fairly old dog that goes for a short walk each day, he will sleep more than a dog who is young and enjoys walks which last 2 hours each day.
With so many different dog beds available, it can become a difficult decision when choosing one for your pet. Soft and fluffy beds are often favored, as these seem to be more comfortable, in general. However, it’s worth remembering that during the summer, these beds will get very warm, which may cause your dog to prefer sleeping on the cold floor instead. They can also be difficult to clean, due to the fact that they absorb smells much more readily than other dog beds.
Outdoor dog beds are another option that you may come across. These are much easier to clean than the soft beds and can be used indoors and outdoors; however, they are thinner and your dog may be cold.
There are lots of different types of beds to consider for your dog, including heated beds that are ideal for the winter, and cool dog beds which are perfect for the summer time. Talk to an expert or member of staff at your local pet store, and they’ll be able to advise you on what is the best bed for your pet.

is it safe to use a perimiter electronic fence on cats? I’d like to allow my 2 cats time outside.?
I have done a little checking on PetCo. about the availability of these electronic yard fence systems, but I’d like to hear from someone that uses, or has tried this with cats.
Well, I havent tried it on my pets, seeing as I like to compare myself to what they are feeling…
How would you enjoy getting a shock to the neck whenever you accidentally stick your foot out of your boundries? (or the foot, leg, ear drum, or any other body part for that matter.)
I wouldnt suggest getting one…cats are fragile and very tempermental, and it could distance you from your animals. You could be accidentally harming your relationship with them. They have emotions just like all of us humans do, dont forget. Try getting a pet collar, tags, and a regular fence if you want your cats to go outside. Or one of those little seethrough shed looking things that are attached to your house…[Brain fart. Ugh. My cousin had one, whatever it was.]
